Sharing your Server with Other Discord Users

Server Sharing

Overview

The server sharing feature allows you to grant other Discord users access to your game servers without sharing your Game Panel login credentials. You maintain full control over permission levels and can revoke access at any time.

This guide explains how to share servers with others using /share-server and manage your shares using /my-shares.

Prerequisites

Before using server sharing:

  • Your Discord account must be linked to your Billing Account
  • The recipient must also have their Discord account linked

Permission Levels

When sharing a server, you choose what the recipient can do:

Level Description
View Can only view server status and resource usage
Control Can start, stop, and restart the server
Full Complete access including console and settings

The recipient will receive a DM with the share invitation.

Managing Your Shares

Use /my-shares to view and manage all your server shares.

Viewing Shares

The command shows two tabs:

  • Shared With Me - Servers others have shared with you
  • Shared By Me - Servers you've shared with others

Accepting a Share Invitation

When someone shares a server with you:

  1. You'll receive a DM notification
  2. Type /my-shares
  3. Find the pending invitation
  4. Click Accept or Decline

Revoking Access

To remove someone's access to your server:

  1. Type /my-shares
  2. Switch to Shared By Me
  3. Find the share you want to remove
  4. Click Revoke

The user will immediately lose access to the server.

Share Expiration

  • Shares can be set to expire automatically
  • Expired shares are automatically removed
  • You can see remaining time in the share details
  • Permanent shares remain active until manually revoked

Troubleshooting

The recipient didn't receive the share invitation

  • The bot attempted to send a DM - they may have DMs disabled
  • A fallback notification may be posted in #bot-notifications
  • They can check /my-shares for pending invitations

I can't access a shared server

  • The share may have expired - check the expiration date
  • The owner may have revoked your access
  • Contact the server owner to re-share if needed

I accidentally revoked access

  • You'll need to create a new share using /share-server
  • Previous permissions and settings are not restored
